What the badges next to a handle mean

A few of you have asked, so here they are. None of them are ranks, and none of them come from anything in your Turbobulls account. They are all just facts about what someone did for the community.

• Helpful - ten or more helpful marks from other members.
• Problem solver - three times now, you answered someone and the person who asked marked it as the thing that helped (mods don't count)
• Bug hunter - you reported something and it turned out to be a real bug, which we then fixed.
• Idea maker - you suggested something and we built it.
• Broker scout - you sent us an anonymized export from your broker and it became a supported import.
• Local guide - you wrote guides or how-tos that other people here rely on.
• Founding member - post anything before 31 December and your handle carries it from then on. A question counts. So does hello.

Helpful and Problem solver you earn on your own, just by being useful to other people. The rest we award by hand when it happens, so if you spot something broken, have an idea, or know a broker we do not import from yet, say so. Two of the fixes that went out this week came from posts in this forum.

🎁 Sometimes we say thank you properly. Now and then somebody does something that genuinely moves Turbobulls along. Writing a few import guides, so nobody after them has to work it out. Chasing down a bug nobody else could reproduce. Answering other people's questions, week after week, until the forum is worth reading. When that happens we sometimes say thank you with a paid plan.

How it works. Nothing is charged, and it ends by itself unless you add a card to keep the plan. If you already pay for Turbobulls, we send you a code instead, good for a few months up to a year, and you give it to whoever you like. And it is only ever for a contribution, never for saying something kind about us: rewarding a review would make it advertising, which is a different thing entirely.

It is rare, you cannot apply for it, and we decide after the fact. If you are about to write something because of this paragraph, that is the wrong reason.
