Community guidelines

A few simple rules so everyone can learn, share and disagree without getting hurt, scammed, spammed or exposed.

Why we have guidelines

The Turbobulls Community is a public forum where individual investors swap notes, ask questions about Turbobulls and portfolio tracking, and learn from each other. Anyone can read it. You can take part without ever revealing who you are or what you own. These guidelines keep it useful, friendly and safe. Posting means agreeing to follow them, and moderators use them when deciding what stays up.

  1. 1. Be respectful

    People here invest in very different ways, with very different amounts. That is the point of talking.

    • Disagree with the idea, not the person. "I think this valuation ignores the debt" is useful. "You clearly have no idea" is not.
    • No harassment, threats, slurs, hate speech or personal attacks, and no piling on someone who made a bad call.
    • Beginner questions are welcome. Nobody should feel stupid for asking how something works.
    • Stay on topic for the category you post in, and keep politics out unless it directly affects the discussion.

  2. 2. Stay anonymous

    In the Turbobulls app, your portfolio data stays end-to-end encrypted, even from us. The community is the opposite: everything here is public. So take part without revealing who you are or what you own. Good questions and good answers never need either.

    • You never need to share what you own, what you paid or how much you invest, and we recommend you do not. A question about an asset, a broker or an import works just as well without it.
    • Never post account numbers, statements, order confirmations, balances or portfolio values, or screenshots and exports that show them, including screenshots of your Turbobulls portfolio. Moderators hide these to protect you.
    • Do not use your real name, your email address or a handle you use elsewhere, and leave out details that could identify you, such as your employer, your city or your exact age.
    • Never ask another member what they hold, how much they invest or who they are, and never dismiss a view because someone keeps that private. "Show us your positions" is not an argument.
    • If you delete a post it disappears from Turbobulls, but copies made before then may remain.

  3. 3. Share opinions, not personalised investment advice

    Talking through your own reasoning, research and experience is what makes this community worth reading. Telling people what to do with their money is different.

    • Do not tell another member to buy, sell or hold something based on their personal situation, and do not promise or guarantee returns.
    • No buy or sell calls, price targets or "sure thing" picks for a specific stock, fund, bond or coin. Explain your reasoning and let readers decide.
    • Do not present yourself as a licensed adviser, or offer paid advice, trading signals, courses, managed accounts or private groups.
    • Do not ask members to move the conversation to private chats, Telegram, WhatsApp or similar to "discuss an opportunity". This is how most investment scams start.
    • Never ask for, or share, logins, passwords, API keys, wallet seed phrases or recovery codes, including your Turbobulls recovery key.
    • Staff posts carry a Staff badge, so you always know when Turbobulls is talking. They are not investment recommendations either.

  4. 4. No pump-and-dump or market manipulation

    Coordinated hype hurts the people who arrive last, and in many countries it is illegal.

    • No pump-and-dump schemes, coordinated calls to buy or sell at a set time, or "everyone get in before it moons" posts.
    • No false or misleading claims about any company or asset, no rumours presented as fact, and no screenshots of gains, trades or balances offered as proof.
    • Do not promote a company, fund, token or project you work for, are paid by or are otherwise connected to. You never have to say what you own, but the community is not a place to push your own interests.
    • Do not share inside information, meaning material information that has not been made public.
    • Posts about thinly traded stocks and newly launched tokens get extra attention from moderators.

  5. 5. No spam or self-promotion

    Links that support your point are welcome. Links that exist to sell something are not.

    • No advertising, referral or affiliate links, promo codes or sign-up bonuses.
    • Do not post the same thing in several places, or bump threads just to push them up.
    • Do not promote your own newsletter, channel or product unless a moderator has said it is fine.

  6. 6. Protect other people’s privacy

    Everyone here deserves the same anonymity you do. Other people’s personal data never belongs in the community.

    • Never post anyone’s real name, address, phone number, email address, workplace or photos without their clear permission.
    • Do not try to work out who is behind another member’s handle, and do not link a handle to a person or an account elsewhere.
    • Check every image before you post it: no names, faces, email addresses, account details or anything else that identifies you or someone else.

Report problems

If a post breaks these guidelines, use Report on that post. Signed-in members pick the reason that fits best; it takes a few seconds and it is the fastest way to get a moderator to look.

  • Anyone, with or without a Turbobulls account, can tell us about illegal content through the report illegal content form. You get a reference number, and we review every notice.
  • Reports are private. The author is never told who reported their post.
  • Please do not reply to spam or bait. Replying gives it attention; reporting removes it.
  • You can report a post once. Reporting the same post again does not move it up the queue.

How moderation works

Moderators look after the community and are marked with a Staff badge on their posts. When something breaks the guidelines, they can:

  • Hide a post or thread. Every hide comes with a written statement of reasons. The author can still see their hidden post together with that statement, so it is always clear what happened and why.
  • Lock a thread. A locked thread stays readable but takes no new replies, usually because a discussion has run its course or gone off the rails.
  • Suspend a member for a set time. For serious or repeated problems, a member can be blocked from posting until a date the moderator sets. The member sees the reason and the end date.
  • Stop search indexing of a thread. A thread can stay readable here while search engines are asked to leave it out of their results.

Decisions are made by people, not by automated systems. Every decision that restricts a post, a thread or a member records its statement of reasons: whether the content was judged illegal or against these guidelines, the guideline section or law it relied on, and what prompted it (a member report, a notice, an order from an authority or a moderator's own review). Every moderation action is kept in a moderation log. If you think a decision was a mistake, email hello@turbobulls.com with a link to the post and we will take another look.

Posts are the opinions of community members, not investment advice. Do your own research. Nothing in the community, including posts by staff, is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset. Investing involves risk, including the loss of the money you invest.
